Jeet Bains is your Councillor in Addiscombe East ward where he has lived for more than thirty years. Jeet has been a Councillor in Croydon since 2010 and takes a keen interest in helping local residents and businesses with any issues they have.
Mario Creatura is a lifelong Croydon resident and has been a Coulsdon Councillor since 2014. He was state educated locally before being the first in his family to go on to university. He is married to Amy, a local SEN teacher, and they are parents to twin boys.

Lynne Hale has lived in Sanderstead for 30 years. She worked locally as a healthcare professional for over twenty years before, having settled her three children into their Croydon schools, she moved into politics.
Yvette Hopley has lived in and around Sanderstead all her life. From an education in a local state school she went on to spend almost ten years working in public and government relations for an American Oil company. Yvette lives with Chris and has a daughter Natasha and grandson Hugh.
Living in Croydon all of my life has instilled a strong sense of passion for Croydon and its future. I have always been active in many of the local campaigns and projects, growing up in an area which prides itself on its Community spirit, and the ability to show a united front against issues that are important to the local residents.
Maria Gatland has lived and worked in South Croydon for more than 30 years. During that time she helped run the family business and cared for her husband during his long illness. Maria has worked hard to help and support residents in her ward since 2002.
Particularly good news for elderly Adults who have difficulty getting online. They will be able to access digital skills courses, workshops and drop-ins in their local libraries after Croydon Council was successful in securing grant funding.
It was a real pleasure to be part of the series of festivals that took place at Wandle Park last week. On Thursday thousands of young people from schools across the Borough took part in the CR Talent Festival hosted by the Croydon Music and Arts Service.

It was an honour and a privilege to join with Jasmine Singh, Helen Lishmund and all the amazing team of volunteers at Selsdon Contact. Having managed the charity between 2014 -2021 I know at first hand the amazing work they do to help the elderly and isolated in the Selsdon area.

Cllr Andy Stranack (Cabinet Member for Communities and Culture) was busy last week as Croydon continued to shine a spotlight on the different cultures and communities that make Croydon a great place to live.
Last Saturday (10th June) Cllr Andy Stranack enjoyed sometime at the New Addington Carnival where the community come together to enjoy a day of family fun and entertainment.
