I am proud to have called New Addington my home for the last 15 years. My husband has been here for 40 and his family since the new estate was built. I love the sense of community here. This is our own little town and I’m really proud of it.

Margaret Bird is honoured to have been elected as the Conservative Councillor in the new ward of Old Coulsdon having represented Coulsdon East since 2014 , She has lived in Old Coulsdon for over 38 years.
Alasdair has lived in Purley Oaks and Riddlesdown since 2016. In the past, he has run his own business, and worked in the public and private sectors. For the last decade, he has held senior roles in national and local charities, including here in Croydon.

Joseph has lived in Croydon with his wife Charlotte since 2014. He is managing director of a business which was set up in 2019. Joseph was elected as one of the two Councillors in his home ward of Selsdon and Addington Village in May 2022.
Robert moved with his family to Croydon in 2006. Originally from an engineering background he latterly specialised in projects to improve the safety, efficiency and quality of business services. He is an experienced decision analyst and a certified project manager.
I would firstly like to thank everyone who organised this petition and everyone who has signed it, along with residents who have contacted me and other councillors with their views on the proposed budget. I completely understand that a council tax increase of this size is unwelcome.
Councillor Scott Roche, Cabinet Member for Streets and Environment and Councillor Robert Ward, Deputy Cabinet Member for Contract Management, visited the Selsdon Depot of the Croydon and Lewisham Street Lighting operation. The contract commenced in 2011 and runs until 2036.
I recently spent a half day with Cabinet Member Councillor Scott Roche and the Veolia recycling team, which included conversations both with their management at the Stubbs Mead depot and several of their recycling teams out on the street collecting recycling from residents.
