Litter Pick - Hamsey Green

Whilst quite warm at the week-end I still managed to get out and take a look around the ward and at the same time pick up any excess litter.  The bins were a little full so I was able to bag up the rubbish left in the vicinity for Veolia to collect.

Councillors Helen Redfern and Lynne Hale, together with Mayor Jason Perry, attended this evening’s Service of Collation at All Saints Church, where Revd Doug McHardie was formally appointed.

New Pathway Between Rectory Park & Glebe Hyrst

The local councillors requested a pathway be laid between Rectory Park and Glebe Hyrst across the grass area to prevent shoes getting wet and easing the accessibility for those in wheelchairs and with pushchairs.I am pleased that under Mayor Jason Perry this request was granted.

Lidl Hoarding - Replaced where Broken

I am pleased to report that the company instructed by Lidl to repair and replace the broken panels on the Lidl hoarding have finished their work and have also repainted over the graffiti.This work took place after my request to their directors.

Bench Near Hive

I am pleased that after reporting the overgrown shrub and leaves underneath the bench  it is possible to once again sit on the bench whilst waiting for the bus.  Some elderly residents had reported that the planting was taking over the seating area.

Memory Tree Cafe - Selsdon

Selsdon Community Clubhouse is delighted to announce a collaboration with Age UK Croydon to host the newly launched Memory Tree Café in Selsdon.Clients with dementia and their carers can attend every Thursday from 13:30-15:30, with a monthly Dementia Carers Support Group also taking place

Lilies in Sanderstead Pond

Volunteers have very kindly removed some of the excess lilies from Sanderstead pond.  This will give a better opportunity for the ducks to enjoy their lovely new duck house. It was all looking very beautiful today in the sunshine.The Sanderstead Councillors are grateful for everyone's efforts.
