Joseph Lee has lived in Croydon with his wife Charlotte since 2014 and is a proud dad to twin boys. Deeply rooted in the local community, Joseph understands first-hand the issues that matter to local families, residents, and businesses.
Joseph is a successful local business owner and Managing Director, having built and scaled a property maintenance and investment business since 2019. His professional background gives him strong commercial insight, financial discipline, and practical problem-solving skills - alongside hands-on leadership, and a strong focus on service standards - experience he brings directly into his work as a councillor.
Elected in May 2022 as one of the two Councillors for Selsdon and Addington Village, Joseph is highly visible in the ward and regularly engages with residents, businesses, community groups to resolve issues and improve day-to-day outcomes for the community.
Joseph has a particular interest in supporting children and young people across Croydon. As a father, he is passionate about improving opportunities for young people, strengthening early support, education, wellbeing and ensuring that families have access to the services and environments they need for children to reach their full potential.
Joseph is passionate about seeing Selsdon thrive and prosper. He wants a vibrant, clean and economically active High Street, strong support for local businesses, and well-maintained public spaces that families can enjoy. He is equally committed to protecting Selsdon’s valued green spaces and supporting local volunteer groups who help preserve them for future generations.
As a father, business leader, and local councillor, Joseph brings a balanced, practical approach to decision-making - focused on long-term community benefit and delivering tangible improvements for residents.
