It was an honour and a privilege to join with Jasmine Singh, Helen Lishmund and all the amazing team of volunteers at Selsdon Contact. Having managed the charity between 2014 -2021 I know at first hand the amazing work they do to help the elderly and isolated in the Selsdon area. Whether it is providing their vital hospital trips, the shopping bus, going on outings or the regular monthly coffee mornings Contact provides vital support that holds the community of Selsdon together. It is always far more than the services they provide but also the hand of friendship and advice that they freely give to so many residents in need.
It was great that my fellow Councillor in Selsdon Joseph Lee chose to highlight the good work that Contact do in his maiden speech at Full Council last night (12th July).
