Jason has been a local Councillor in Shirley for 16 years and lived in Croydon for over 30. He had a 20 year career in general management before getting involved in local politics and has served as Chair of a local charity as well as working at a local homeless shelter for 10 years. Having got married in Croydon and raised two children here he feels a strong bond and sense of responsibility to our local area and wants to preserve and protect the local character of Shirley.

I have always been active in many of the local campaigns and projects, growing up in an area which prides itself on its Community spirit, and the ability to show a united front against issues that are important to the local residents.

In 2023, the Boundary Commission for England announced its final recommendations for new Parliamentary Constituencies in England, including here in Croydon. Croydon East is one of the new constituencies, largely made up of the former Croydon Central constituency, but excluding Croydon Town Centre.

Water Leak repair closes Oaks Road

Oaks Road will be closed from today until Friday 18th May due to emergency repairs on a water leak. Oaks Road is closed between the junction with Coombe Lane and Coombe Farm as shown on the picture. A diversion is in place over Shirley Hills.
