Mario Creatura is a lifelong Croydon resident and was a Coulsdon Councillor from 2014 to 2026. He was state educated locally before being the first in his family to go on to university. He is married to Amy, a local SEN teacher, and they are parents to twin boys. He has worked for global brewery Heineken, in the city for Virgin Money UK and was Special Adviser to the Prime Minister in 10 Downing Street.

Mario is a self-employed business consultant. He has served in the Shadow Cabinet as the lead for communities, safety and justice and for six years as Conservative Chief Whip.

He stood down from Croydon Council in May 2026 after 12 years' service.
