Coulsdon Town

Mario Creatura is a lifelong Croydon resident and has been a Coulsdon Councillor since 2014. He was state educated locally before being the first in his family to go on to university. He is married to Amy, a local SEN teacher, and they are parents to twin boys. He has worked for global brewery Heineken, in the city for Virgin Money UK and was Special Adviser to the Prime Minister in 10 Downing Street.

Mario now works for DGA Interel, one of Europe's leading public affairs consultancies. He has served in the Shadow Cabinet as the lead for communities, safety and justice. He is now the Administration Chief Whip.

Luke Shortland was elected as Councillor for Coulsdon Town in 2022. One of the things Luke loves about Coulsdon is the real variety of shops in the town centre, with everything from a pottery café (where he got his first Saturday job a decade ago!) to a candle & gift shop.

Our Plan for Coulsdon Town

In October last year, Coulsdon voted massively in favour of change in the Referendum for an elected Mayor for Croydon. On 5th May we have the opportunity to vote in elections that will bring about that change. Let's finish the job.  Over the last eight years Croydon has been run by Labour.

Yesterday, plain clothes officers from Old Coulsdon and Coulsdon Town Police teams conducted a plain clothes shoplifting operation in Coulsdon High Street.

November Street Surgery - Coulsdon

Trains, litter and local banking - wide range of subjects discussed at today’s street surgery. Next month on 6th December we’ll be outside Aldi from 10am to 5pm for the duration of Coulsdon’s Christmas festival!

Green Flag for Happy Valley!

Thanks to the work of volunteers, Friends of Parks groups, council officers and partners, four parks – Happy Valley, Coulsdon Memorial Ground, Wandle Park and Wettern Tree Garden – have all been recognised and rewarded as some of the best parks and green spaces in the UK.

Shared Prosperity Funding for Coulsdon

Tonight, Coulsdon Town Councillors attended a meeting at Coulsdon Library to discuss how we might spend the Shared Prosperity Funding that has been allocated to our town. The money is intended to support improvements like pocket parks, new lighting, and so on.

Mayor Jason Perry's Blitz Clean has come to Coulsdon! Trees have been trimmed, pavements and lamp-posts cleaned and more pavements repaired. Businesses have also been given free packs to help them clean graffiti and remove unwanted stickers from their shops.
