Jeet Bains has lived in Addiscombe East for more than thirty years and has served as a Croydon councillor since 2010. As Cabinet Member for Planning and Regeneration, he has focused on restoring competence to the Council and delivering real improvements for local residents. Jeet has secured major investments for the ward, including £1.6 million for the Ashburton Park revival and £50,000 to enhance Addiscombe’s high street. He has delivered road‑safety upgrades, tackled aggressive begging and antisocial behaviour, defended the area from unsuitable developments, and supported traffic‑calming measures across the neighbourhood. Jeet works closely with Residents’ Associations, the Friends of Ashburton Park, the Police Ward Panel, and local businesses to strengthen community life. A management consultant by profession, he brings global experience in improving organisations and ensuring they are well run. Jeet is committed to protecting Addiscombe’s character, green spaces, and village feel while continuing to deliver progress for residents.
