Jeet Bains is your Councillor in Addiscombe East ward where he has lived for more than thirty years. Jeet has been a Councillor in Croydon since 2010 and takes a keen interest in helping local residents and businesses with any issues they have. Jeet is the Cabinet Member for Planning and Regeneration and has been a member of Scrutiny, Licensing and Pensions committees, as well as being the shadow Chair of the General Purposes and Audit Committee. By profession he is a management consultant, having helped organisations all over the world. Jeet's expertise in ensuring that the Council is run well is an invaluable asset. Over the weekend, Cllr Simon Brew & Shadow Cabinet Member Jeet Bains visited Purley Pool, which has been closed by Croydon's failing Labour Council. We were shown around by managers from GLL, the company that runs the site, as well as an ex-General Manager of Purley Pool.

Removing offensive graffiti from Sandilands tram stop

Earlier this month, Cllr Jeet Bains was contacted by the HOME residents association to alert us to excessive graffiti that had appeared on the Sandilands tram stop.

Cllr Bains and I worked together to take swift action, contacting TfL and others to ensure removal.
