Graffiti not removed

I have received a number of requests from residents about volunteering to do that which the Council no longer can or will because of their cash-strapped situation.

I'm interested to know what your views are. For example, the Council currently won't lock/unlock park gates but some residents have said they will do it if given keys. Graffiti is no longer removed by the Council unless it's "offensive", but some residents have said they will do it if given the equipment by the Council. We can see the situation with the grass too.

There will be insurance and health & safety issues (getting people to leave the park isn't necessarily easy).

What do you think?

Best wishes,

Sanderstead Library - Tidy Up

Tuesday, 17 May, 2022

I was pleased to join Heather Lindsay Chair of the SRA in tidying up the library garden.  We spent a couple of hours cutting the grass, cutting back the brambles and overgrown shrubs and sweeping the steps.
