Purely for interest and to keep memories alive, here are some photos I took while a small group was being shown round the closed leisure centre building yesterday

The photos show:

  • The empty pool
  • One of three air-handling units which need replacing
  • A poignant reminder of the day when the pool was opened
  • Superficial wear and tear to the balance tank
  • Abandoned Tesco trollies
  • Sadly idle gym equipment.

I attended the Sanderstead Recreation Ground Litter Pick with my ward colleague Cllr Helen Redfern.  We have seen a marked difference in the amount of litter dropped in the park which is good to note.
