Shakera Bowen lives in the North of Croydon, and has a real interest in adult and child social care. She currently works as a social worker, but has previously also enjoyed being a midwife in Hampstead.
From 2002 to May 2018 each parliamentary constituency in Croydon was made up of exactly eight wards, all fully contained within it. Shortly after taking control in 2014 Croydon Labour requested a review of the local authority boundaries.
In a 'normal' year, I would have the opportunity to visit lots of organisations and places, meeting a wide range of Croydon's residents. Amongst my favourite events of the year are the Eid celebrations and the Iftar meals during Ramadan, organised by our local mosques.

Selhurst finds itself with a third green space unprotected in Wilford Road Recreation Ground. It is simply a travesty that Selhurst has not one, but three parks and open spaces losing their protections; the way Labour takes its people for granted is just unacceptable!
