Neil grew up on a council estate in the midlands before moving to Sutton nearly 20 years ago. His dad drove buses and lorries, and his grandad was a coal miner.

A few months ago, the horrifying conditions faced by Council tenants on Regina Road were exposed. Walls coated in black mould, dripping ceilings and faulty electrics all featured in ITV’s documentary, Surviving Squalor.
It was wonderful to attend the Family Fun Day & Food Festival at Norbury Park today.
The sun was shining, which seems a rarity of late, and everybody was having a good time.
