I was extremely pleased to hear today that the appeal for the planning application at 38 Oakwood Avenue has been refused. The proposed development is just outside Purley Oaks & Riddlesdown ward but backs on to the cattery on Riddlesdown Road.
The grass has been cut in Purley Rotary Field, after many requests for this to happen. This means that the space can actually be used by residents for playing ball games, sitting and having picnics and cycling/scootering around.
On Friday I participated in the library consultation exercises at both Sanderstead and Purley libraries with Cllr Hopley in Sanderstead and Cllr Brew in Purley. Purley Oaks & Riddlesdown does not have its own library so access to our 2 nearest libraries is a vital resource.
