Catalytic Converter / Smart Water Event

I have received the following message from PCSO Sam Brooks from the Sanderstead Police team:

 

"The team will be at Kwik Fit 453 Brighton Road, South Croydon from 1pm Monday 22nd November for a Smart Water catalytic converter marking event.  

This means that we will provide free marking kits for catalytic converters which we hope will act as a deterrent to thieves, but also means that if they are stolen, we can identify which vehicle they were stolen from

The vehicles most frequently targeted include hybrids and older models of Honda Jazz, Honda CR-V, Toyota Prius, Toyota Auris, Lexus RX

Feel free to bring any vehicle and Kwik Fit will assist in identifying catalytic converters and advising whether vehicles would benefit from having theirs marked (some are built in under the cars and so not as accessible to be stolen)

Officers will also be in attendance to provide crime prevention advice."
