A22 road closure finishes a week early!

I'm delighted that the A22 road closure finished a week earlier than expected.

We are very grateful to SES Water for working around the clock to ensure an early finish, for their regular updates and signposting and to local residents for their patience. Whilst there were a few issues in the run-up and at the beginning of the project, I received fewer complaints and emails about the road closure than I expected.

It was also a good team effort working effectively with my ward colleagues in Purley & Woodcote, as well Kenley and Purley Oaks & Riddlesdown councillors as well as local resident associations.
