Save Purley Pool campaign

Croydon has six Council-owned pools and leisure centres. In accordance with HMG guidelines they were all closed at the start of lockdown but all except the one in Purley have now fully or partially re-opened. It seems extraordinary that the Labour Council can afford six-figure payoffs for their previous Chief Executive Jo Negrini, but cannot afford a much smaller sum just to keep the Purley Leisure Centre open - it's shocking misuse of resources.

Please join our online petition here to get it re-opened as soon as possible; it's outrageous that yet again, Labour discriminate against the South of the Borough.

I attended the Sanderstead Recreation Ground Litter Pick with my ward colleague Cllr Helen Redfern.  We have seen a marked difference in the amount of litter dropped in the park which is good to note.
