Croydon & Sutton (London Assembly)

The Croydon & Sutton GLA seat comprises of the entirety of the London Borough of Croydon and the London Borough of Sutton. The seat has been Conservative-held since it's creation in 2000. Our assembly member since the 2021 election is Neil Garratt.

Neil is Croydon & Sutton's GLA Member. He is also a Conservative Councillor for Belmont. Neil grew up on a council estate in the midlands before moving to Sutton nearly 20 years ago. His dad drove buses and lorries, and his grandad was a coal miner.

In 2023, the Boundary Commission for England announced its final recommendations for new Parliamentary Constituencies in England, including here in Croydon. Croydon East is one of the new constituencies, largely made up of the former Croydon Central constituency, but excluding Croydon Town Centre.

In 2023, the Boundary Commission for England announced its final recommendations for new Parliamentary Constituencies in England, including here in Croydon. Croydon South has lost Waddon and Selsdon and gained Park Hill & Whitgift as part of the review.

From 2002 to May 2018 each parliamentary constituency in Croydon was made up of exactly eight wards, all fully contained within it. Shortly after taking control in 2014 Croydon Labour requested a review of the local authority boundaries.
