Neil's City Hall Diary - 14 May 2021

Welcome to my first City Hall Diary, my regular updates about my work in London City Hall as your Assembly Member for Croydon and Sutton.

This was my first week in City Hall. I formally took office on Tuesday, and at today’s Assembly AGM I was appointed to serve for the coming year on the Transport, Budget, and Economy committees.

In this first City Hall Diary I also explain a bit about what the London Assembly is and what we do.

Croydon & Sutton GLA Member
Neil is Croydon & Sutton's GLA Member. He is also a Conservative Councillor for Belmont. Neil grew up on a council estate in the midlands before moving to Sutton nearly 20 years ago. His dad drove buses and lorries, and his grandad was a coal miner.

Croydon & Sutton (London Assembly)

The Croydon & Sutton GLA seat comprises of the entirety of the London Borough of Croydon and the London Borough of Sutton. The seat has been Conservative-held since it's creation in 2000. Our assembly member since the 2021 election is Neil Garratt.
