On Thursday 8th December, the Executive Mayor announced the locations of  network of council and community warm spaces that are open to welcome residents and vulnerable people in need of extra support this winter.

Croydon libraries, leisure centres and other community venues have been set up as warm spaces offering people a safe place to go as the weather gets colder. The details and locations can be found on the council website – please check the opening times before attending.

All the participating venues are heated and free to enter, and some offer hot food and drinks, activities and services such as debt advice, help with benefits, energy saving, and support to get online.

For more information, see the announcement on the Croydon Council website and check out the links from the home page.

Additionally in Kenley, All Saints & St Barnabas Churches have warm spaces on:

  • 1 -2.15pm on Tuesdays at St Barnabas, Higher Drive which from the 24th January will have a Sing for fun choir
  • 10-12  on Wednesdays at All Saints
  • 1-2.30 on Thursdays at the Kenley Memorial Hall

See What's On - All Saints and St Barnabas for more information.
