This summer, there will be road closures along the A22. I wanted to provide a short update following a check-in with Council officers.
Dates
The road closure will come into effect on Saturday 22 July 2023 and end on Sunday 3 September 2023.
Exact locations
The works will affect the A22 from the railway bridge junction with Tesco to the signalised junction just south of Dale Road.
Timescales
The road will be closed 24/7
Alternative routes being signposted
Diversions will divert traffic through Coulsdon, Redhill, Godstone and Whyteleafe, primarily via the A23. There will be clear signage in place, both ahead of and during the road closure, to avoid any surprises or confusion.
A prescribed diversion route map will be provided via the SES Water website and publications in due course.
