Residents in the Old Lodge Lane end of Kenley have expressed frustration over the newly introduced 312 bus route, which reportedly fails to stop at Purley High Street and the Purley Tesco stops on a consistent basis.
I was advised by Hadra this morning that Thames Water has closed a section of Hartley Down and raised this with Jackie Edgerton, Network Management Officer.
Croydon Council has alerted Kenley Ward councillors, Mayor Perry and the Cabinet Member for Streets and Environment that the Environment Agency has issued a flood alert concerning rising ground water levels along the Caterham valley which states:
Works have been completed to rectify drainage on the wooded part of Old Lodge Lane. This stretch had become impassable by pedestrians and concerning for vehicle drivers. These were completed on 22nd February and I’ve been pleased to receive reports that heavy rain no longer collects.
We received welcome news from the Planning Inspector earlier this week. The appeal against the refusal of planning permission for 15 & R/O 17 Wattendon Road was dismissed. This was for planning application 21/04380/FUL, dated 19 August 2021, and refused by notice dated 1 August 2023.
