ward panel

Last night I was delighted to join the local ward panel meeting.

We were joined by local schools, the local policing team and residents.

Main topics covered focused on reducing speeding, vehicle theft and the increased level of congestion around some schools in the borough during school drop off and pick up times.

I've written to the council to ask them about their policies around anti idling zones around schools, which are present in some other boroughs in London.

For the moment the police team are working hard to increase patrols at this time and tackle any traffic issues that are arising.

WATCH: One Year in Office

Wednesday, 10 May, 2023

Today is the one year anniversary of my election as the first ever Executive Mayor of Croydon.

I will always be grateful for the support that Croydon's voters gave me in that election. I have never taken this support for granted.
