Statement on the Birdhurst Road Shooting

We are shocked and saddened to hear of the fatal shooting in South Croydon yesterday. Our thoughts are with the friends and family of the victim of such a tragic event.

The enquiry into the attack is still at an early stage, and police are appealing to anybody who may have witnessed anything to contact them.

Violent crime has no place in our community and we extend our thanks and support to the police working to tackle it.
