It was good to attend the Sanderstead Safer Neighbourhood Police Panel meeting in All Saints Church Hall. Please ensure first floor windows are secure and any ladders are out of the reach of any burglars as there appears to be a number of burglaries using ladders to enter bedrooms to gain access to properties. If you feel you have any weak points in your home security you may need to upgrade your systems. Motor vehicle crime and theft from motor vehicles is down as are burglaries.
Ward priorities remain the same to maintain and reduce residential and non-residential burglaries along with motor vehicle crime, including theft of or from vehicles and community engagement. The team have been visiting children's homes in the area and also intend to visit some assisted living care homes.
