I was born in Croydon and have lived in the South of the borough for most of my life. I attended Croydon College and studied Mechanical Engineering.
After a career break in my 30's I did some travelling with my now wife, who was until recently a local GP. We stayed in Australia for a year before returning to the UK. Upon our return, we lived in Rydons Lane, Old Coulsdon and got to know the area well. I learned to played golf at Coulsdon Manor and still spend much of my leisure time around Happy Valley & Coulsdon Common, both walking and cycling.
I'm also a volunteer at Skaterham skatepark. Although it is just outside the ward boundary it's regularly used by many local young people from Old Coulsdon; and provides a safe, inclusive, community space for all.
Since retiring in 2023 I've become more active within the the Croydon Conservative Federation. There have been a many improvement in our borough and I'm keen to support the continuing effort to further this aim.
I would hope to support all residents of Old Cousdon and help to protect the unique character of the local area.
