Shadow Cabinet Deputy for Culture, Leisure and Sport

Oni Oviri has a strong affinity to Purley, having resided in the area for over 27 years. She runs her own Management Consultancy, advising the Public, Private and Third Sector on best practice Procurement, Supply chain and Logistics management. She also lectures on Procurement and Supply Chain Management to first and second year degree students in Croydon and across London. Oni attends the local Coulsdon West Residents Association meetings as well as being involved in the Purley and Woodcote Residents Association meetings and has a passion for the ongoing development and betterment of Purley. Oni currently serves as a Governor of a school in the borough.

Badsha is a successful local businessman who lives with his wife and three children in Purley where he has been a resident for 34 years. Since being elected in 2010, Badsha has promoted Purley regeneration and a safer and cleaner Purley.

Damaged Road Sign on Brighton Road-now repaired

Last October I wrote to the Council to notify them about a very bent road sign at Purley Downlands Precint. After several reminder emails I am pleased to say it has now finally been fixed!

 

Purley Planning onslaught

In a recent speech I made at a Council meeting  in regards to DEMOC, I spoke of the onslaught of planning applications and permissions granted in Purley and Woodcote. I had mentioned that Purley is supplying 30% of the housing target in the entire borough of Croydon, which is bewildering.

Extra support grants for Croydon businesses-Update

Croydon business owners needing financial support as a result of Covid-19 lockdown can now apply for a new grant of up to £10,000 provided by central government and run by the council.

Purley is currently supplying about 50% of CROYDON's new homes :-(
