I’m James Hillam, a Croydon resident and Conservative campaigner who is proud to have been selected for Purley and Woodcote. This ward means a great deal to me as I grew up locally, went to school here, and continue to be deeply involved in the community. I’m the Chair of the Purley & Woodcote Residents’ Association, where I work closely with residents, local groups and the council on the issues that affect day-to-day life in our neighbourhoods. Alongside this, I have a professional background in technology senior leadership roles, focused on getting organisations to work better for the people they serve. I believe Purley and Woodcote deserve strong, practical representation that stands up for residents, protects our local character, supports local businesses, and helps restore pride in Croydon through sound finances, common sense and delivery.
