Winter Coats initiative

Our energetic new candidate for Old Coulsdon in next years Council elections, Nikhil Sherine Thampi invited residents to support his Winter Coat drive to help the homeless stay warm this winter.

Old Coulsdon delivered and he collected 217 coats in total.

Due to the high volume of coats, the charity Crisis was not able to take them all so he distributed the remaining coats to the Salvation Army Croydon and Croydon Refugee day centre.

All donated coats will be given out to Homeless people in Croydon.

Great community spirit.

I would like to thank every single Croydonian who put their trust in me at this election. I am so proud to have been elected Mayor of this great Borough. It was also fantastic to see the local Conservatives secure some fantastic new gains on the Council, including in Waddon and New Addington.
