Wettern Tree Garden

This afternoon I was speaking with one of the team who over the years has done so much to maintain Wettern Tree Garden, and on the way home I found myself popping in. As usual I gravitated to the Rose Garden, my favourite area, which was smelling truly wonderful today.

It's easy to walk along Purley Oaks Road, past the green hedge, and not notice it's here - but it is and it is open to all. 

There is also a twice monthly working party to help maintain the standard which recently helped the garden maintain its Green Badge!

I attended the Sanderstead Recreation Ground Litter Pick with my ward colleague Cllr Helen Redfern.  We have seen a marked difference in the amount of litter dropped in the park which is good to note.
