Valley Road in Kenley

Last week, I shared news about planned improvements to roads in Kenley. I’m pleased to confirm that council officers have now scheduled resurfacing works on part of Valley Road, near the school – between New Barn Lane and Waverley Avenue. With the Easter holidays approaching, it’s a sensible time to carry out the work.

Gully cleansing will take place on 16 April 2025, which will involve a parking suspension only. The resurfacing itself will require road closures in sections, with work taking place between 8:00am and 5:00pm.

Some disruption is expected due to the nature and location of the works. If you need vehicle access during these hours, please allow extra time for your journey and consider using an alternative route. Traffic management plans are available on request and outline the works in line with council specifications.

For the most up-to-date information on the works, see https://one.network/?GB142687358. To see how the 439 bus route will be affected see - https://tfl.gov.uk/bus/route/439/?direction=outbound – changes should be notified here.
