Position of new gym equipment for Higher Drive Rec

Cllr Kolade and I were pleased to attend the consultation that took place this morning at Higer Drive Rec on the new gym equipment that will be placed in the park.

It was great to join council officers, and several residents, including representatives from the Friends of Foxley and Higher Drive Friends. The plans were shown to us and discussion took place as to where the best place to site the equipment. It was excellent to have so many enthused people present who know the park like the back of their hands, and so we were able to have review all of the suitable locations.

The equipment will be placed between the playground and Higher Drive (in the location of the photo above) and I believe that it will bring excellent benefits to users. It is planned to install it in March 2026.

See photo below of the planned installation.
