Coulsdon Road Closure

It may be helpful to local residents to share the below update on the closure of Coulsdon Road for essential drainage works:

  • Tomorrow (Thurs 15 August) to Mon 2 September.
  • Works to finish before schools reopen after the summer holidays.
  • To reduce disruption, the contractor has extended their working hours to Mon to Sun 7am to 7pm.
  • Road closure of Coulsdon Road between Old Fox Close and The Grove.
  • Fox Lane / Old Fox Close access maintained.
  • Stites Hill Road will remain open for 2-way residential traffic, but HGVs will be prohibited through the installation of a width restriction at its junction with Coulsdon Road, as per my update a few weeks ago, as a result of the work by Mayor Jason Perry, supported and encouraged by me as the local MP, local Residents Groups and local councillors Margaret Bird and Nikhil Thampi.
