As usual all the exhibits at the SHS summer show were stunning. I always enjoy a scone and cream and the band and the lovely stalls. Despite having a lot of plants in my garden I manage to find space for one or two more. The Sanderstead Horticultural Society are a wealth of knowledge and are on hand to give advice to members. The show takes place in the grounds of Wettern Tree Garden which has been well maintained by the Friends. I also managed to attend their AGM at Purley United Reformed Church to hear about all their good work. John and Jean Hain have sadly decided to retire from the committee but I think they do deserve a rest after all their hard work or many years. Now they can relax in the garden and enjoy their efforts. A very big thank you to them both from me.
