Subject: Regarding our Gas Pipe replacement project - Marlpit Lane, CroydoI am contacting you regarding our project to replace the old metal gas pipe in the road of Marlpit Lane, Croydon.
Who are we?
At SGN we replace and repair the gas pipes in your area, this means we can continue to provide a safe and reliable gas supply to your community.
What are we doing?
We need to replace the old metal pipe with new Polyethylene pipe to enable us to continue to provide a safe and reliable gas supply.
What roads will be affected?
Our contractors Forefront Utilities, who will be carrying out this work on our behalf will start work on Monday 26 May for approximately 11 weeks.
The engineers will begin work outside of Poppy Café Rung, then work their way down Marlpit Lane to the rear of Coulsdon C of E Primary School.
Two-way traffic lights temporary traffic lights will be in place as our engineers work along by the following junctions. Marlpit Ave, Hillside Road, Stonefield Road and Bradmore Way.
The two-way traffic management will be in place to ensure the safety of everyone around the work site.
How will this affect you?
- Please ensure that delivery drivers and visitors know about the temporary lights.
- Please allow additional time for your journeys.
- Please check with your local bus company to be aware of any delayed busses.
We understand that a road closure causes inconvenience to the local community and will only use traffic management when necessary to keep everyone safe.
