Dear Councillor Hopley

I am writing to you on behalf of SES Water and in your capacity as a ward member for Sanderstead regarding planned improvement works to the water network this summer.

These improvement works are planned to take place over the school summer holiday period and will run from Saturday 22 July 2023 until Sunday 3 September 2023. These works are needed to reduce the risk of future water supply failures in the area. This will mean that a section of the A22 Godstone Road up to the Purley Cross roundabout will be closed and traffic diversions will be put in place.

Please find attached a briefing document which provides an overview of the proposals, and details of the route diversion, and our planned engagement.

I hope that this email and its attachment are helpful, but please do not hesitate to get in touch with us directly should you have any questions, or should you wish to set up a meeting with the project team, by calling either myself or my colleague, Dan, using the details below, or by emailing us via return email using the details cc’d, and we will be more than happy to assist.

For and on behalf of SES Water.

WATCH: One Year in Office

Wednesday, 10 May, 2023

Today is the one year anniversary of my election as the first ever Executive Mayor of Croydon.

I will always be grateful for the support that Croydon's voters gave me in that election. I have never taken this support for granted.
