Sanderstead Library – temporarily CLOSED

I have this afternoon been advised of the temporary closure of Sanderstead Library. The message from the Council’s Library Operations Manager advises:

“We are sorry to have to inform you that we have had to temporarily, close Sanderstead Library for health and safety reasons due to an electrical fault. Council FM are aware and our contractors have ordered the part but the delivery is likely to be next Tuesday at the earliest. We will put a notice on the door to inform customers but hope you will share with your local contacts.

Due to the fault the intruder and fire alarm panels are making warning sounds. These are internal to the building and we are unable to silence them. I thought it would be useful for you to know in case you get any residents contacting you regarding this.

We will, of course, keep you updated. We have asked for information to be put on the website bit.ly/CroySANLib and will keep this updated also.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused to your residents.

Kind regards

Liz

Library Operations Manager”

Hopefully this can be resolved fairly quickly but clearly the Library will remain closed until at least next Tuesday.

I will update with any further news which I receive.
