Earlier this month, I had the privilege of work shadowing at the Coulsdon Banking Hub. My day job is for Santander so I went to the Banking Hub, with my two hats on.
Each day a different bank has a member of staff on site. I went on Tuesday, which was Santander's day and had the opportunity to work shadow longstanding member of the team, Ann. It was great to meet Javed, who is from the Post Office and runs the counter.
I got to understand what services were available at the Hub, including paying in cash and cheques, withdrawing money, check balances and change their address. I also met several customers who popped in and had a chance to chat to them about how valuable the service is and how it will save them time in the future. No one had to wait more than 10 minutes either.
Ann told me that as the Bank Hubs develop, they'll be able to offer more services, such as opening accounts.
