It was a privilege to celebrate the 25th anniversary and CQC ‘outstanding rating’ of Amberley Lodge on Downlands Road, Purley with the Civic Mayor, Cllr Kola Agboola and the Deputy Lieutenant for Croydon, Colonel Ray Wilkinson.
A warm and inviting afternoon, with a lovely buffet and enormous cake on offer. I enjoyed meeting all the staff and residents, and being able to congratulate them on these achievements.
It was also such a privilege to meet D-Day veteran, 100 year old George, and being able to thank him for his service. We are so lucky to have a D-Day veteran living in Purley & Woodcote.
