Residents are being advised of resurfacing works planned for Hartley Hill on Thurs 20, Friday 21 and Saturday 22 August 2026.
Hartley Hill sits on the very edge of Kenley, close to the border with Purley and Woodcote Ward, so the works are likely to affect residents and road users travelling in both areas.
Croydon Council’s Highways team, working with its principal contractor FM Conway, will be carrying out microsurfacing works along Hartley Hill, between Old Lodge Lane and Hartley Old Road.
Road closure and parking restrictions
A road closure will be in place during the resurfacing works to allow the work to be carried out safely and efficiently.
The resurfacing is scheduled to take place between 8am and 5pm, with parking suspensions operating from 7.30am to 5pm within the works area.
Following the resurfacing, gully cleansing is scheduled for Saturday 22 August. Parking restrictions will remain in place where necessary to allow contractors safe access to the gullies.
Residents should therefore avoid parking within areas covered by suspension signs during the works.

Residents and road users are advised to plan journeys in advance and consider alternative routes, as some disruption is expected while the works are carried out.
The schedule may change at short notice, particularly due to adverse weather conditions. Any changes will be communicated through on-site signage, so residents are advised to check the signs regularly.
