Residents are being advised of resurfacing works due to take place on Beckett Avenue on Thursday 20 August 2026.
Croydon Council’s Highways team, working with its principal contractor FM Conway, will be carrying out microsurfacing works between the junctions with Cullesden Road and Foxley Road.
The works are expected to take place between 8am and 5pm with a road closure in place during the resurfacing to allow the work to be carried out safely.
Parking suspensions and gully cleaning
Following the resurfacing, gully cleansing will take place on Friday 21 August. Parking suspensions will be required on both 20 and 21 August, from 7.30am to 5pm, within the works area to allow contractors safe access.
Additional parking restrictions may remain in place where necessary until the gully cleansing has been completed.

- Pedestrian access: Maintained throughout
- Vehicle access: May be restricted at times and should be kept to a minimum during working hours
- Signage: Advance warning signs will be installed ahead of the works.
Residents and road users are advised to plan journeys in advance and use alternative routes where possible, as some disruption is expected.
The timetable may change at short notice, particularly due to adverse weather conditions. Any changes will be communicated through on-site signage.
Please move vehicles in advance
Residents are being urged to make arrangements to move their vehicles from the affected areas before the parking suspensions come into force.
Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) may be issued to vehicles parked within suspended areas, and vehicles may also be relocated if necessary to enable the works to proceed.
