Good news!

Mayor Perry has selected the refurbishment of Bourne Park playground as part of the Council’s Parks Improvement Programme. The Council’s Parks Team has worked with relevant contractors to develop and submit design proposals, from which the design shown below has been selected.

Engagement sessions will now take place to gather wider community feedback on the proposed design. These sessions will be hosted jointly by a representative of the selected contractor and the Parks Project Officer.

Do come along to find out more and give your thoughts on:

  • Friday 9th of January 2026 at 10.30 a.m.
  • Saturday 10th of January 2026 at 10.30 a.m.

This continues the programme of making outdoor spaces in Kenley more engaging, welcoming and enjoyable for children and young people:

  • Update on new gym equipment coming to Higher Drive Rec
