Cllrs Simon Brew and Samir Dwesar joined Mayor Perry, Cabinet Member, Cllr Scott Roche, the Purley BID, Purley in Bloom and Purley Rotary at a celebration of 100 years of the Purley Rotary field. 100 years ago, the Purley Rotary donated the field to the then Purley & Coulsdon Urban District Council.

Simon recorded a video marking the milestone.

It was a lovely event and it was lovely seeing the new flowers planted by Purley in Bloom. This gem is a special part of the community and the whole Purley councillor team is proud to be supporting the Purley BID, the Bloomers, Mayor and Council officers in their efforts to continually uplifts this important space and restoring pride in Purley.
