Colescroft Hill in Kenley

Back in March I wrote about Highways improvements in Kenley as set out in the 2025/26 Highways Capital Programme.

Part of Valley Road was resurfaced in April, and next month it’s the turn of Colescroft Hill.

The work is scheduled to take place from 10th June 2025. Traffic management will involve a road closure in sections, while gully cleansing will be carried out on 11th June 2025, which will result in a parking suspension only.

Please be aware that due to the nature and location of the work, some disruption is expected.  The work will be conducted between 08:00hrs and 17:00hrs.  If you require vehicular access during these hours, the council recommend seeking an alternative route and allowing extra time for your journey.

Traffic management plans are available upon request, and they will detail the work as per the council’s specifications. See https://one.network/?tmi=GB38026790.

The resurfacing works will take place in multiple Sections:Between – Wontford rd and  Old Lodge Lane.

Due to the nature of these works it is inevitable that some disruption will occur. For this reason it is recommended that where possible you use alternative routes, or allow extra time to complete your journey.

The on-street parking suspensions that will be in place within the works area are 07:30-17:00 on 10th & 11th  June 2025. Please note these suspensions will stay in place until gully cleansing is completed. No parking for residents on the highway in the areas covered by the enforcement signs.

Please note that penalty charge notices (PCN’s) will be applied to vehicles parked within the suspended areas during the works hours and/or vehicles relocated.
