Kenley residents will be pleased to hear that action has been taken to address ongoing issues with pigeon droppings outside a shop on Godstone Road in Kenley.

Pigeons had been accessing the empty premises at 26 Godstone Road through an open window and nesting there for some time. This led to a significant build-up of bird droppings at the front of the shop and in nearby residential gardens, causing understandable concern for local residents.
Kenley councillors worked with the Council to contact the landowner and ensure the window was secured, preventing further access for the birds and stopping the problem from worsening.
Following this, the Council has carried out a deep clean of the public pavement outside the shop. This has made a noticeable difference, leaving the parade much cleaner and more hygienic for everyone.
This is an ongoing situation as pigeons are roosting in the fascia and councillors are working with the council to find a linger-term resolution.
If nearby residents continue to experience any issues, they are encouraged to get in touch so that these can be looked into further.
