As part of Croydon’s Tackling VAWG (Violence against Women & Girls) delivery plan, we are making all schools in the borough - Safe Spaces. It was a pleasure to meet with students at Meridian school & Oasis Arena this week to hear their ideas on making Croydon safer for young people.
The students from both schools expressed how improvements to public spaces, cleaner streets, more CCTV and additional police presence will make them feel safer and there was broad support for the use of technology to make communities safer.
