Oval Road Construction Plan

  • Local News

The local Conservative candidates have been working with residents in Oval Road over a number of issues.  Not only are residents blighted by constant fly tipping, much of which in collaboration with the residents and local groups we have managed to get cleared, they are having to endure a great deal of construction noise and disruption from two nearby developments.

We felt it was important to understand how the construction plan has been agreed with the council over weekends and bank holidays and have lodged an enquiry so that residents can better prepare.  We have yet to receive a response.  We have also been in touch with one of the developers Robert McAlpine who have provided us with a work schedule for the Easter period.

We understand that it is disappointing that the only day McAlpine's won't be operating is on Sunday, 17 April and that work is likely to continue between the hours of 8 and 6pm on Friday, 15 April, Saturday, 16 April and Monday, 18 April.

They have promised a letter drop to the residents of Oval Road with a contact number for the site management.

Sorry it isn't better news.
