--

Between 26-30 August 2024, sections of Old Lodge Lane will be closed for resurfacing. Over the past year, I have collaborated with the council’s highways department to address several issues, particularly fly-tipping in the wooded area and the poor condition of the road surface.

Improvements have been made, including faster fly-tip clean-ups, new signage, and log barriers installed along footpath 41 to prevent industrial-scale fly-tipping. Gullies have also been cleaned, preventing the regular flooding near the Wattenden pub end of the road.

The resurfacing will cover the stretch from Hayes Lane to New Valley School and will require road closures, causing some travel disruptions. Although the traffic management plan is not yet available, you can review the works at https://one.network/?GB139164986
