Councillors requested highway improvement works for the narrow, wooded section of Old Lodge Lane, where the road surface had become pitted and uneven.
The council has confirmed that micro surfacing works will take place on 21–22 August between New valley School and the junction with Hayes Lane. To allow the works to be completed safely, the road will be closed to vehicles on both days. Pedestrian access will be maintained and it won’t impact the 312 bus service.
Residents directly affected by the closure will receive a letter from the council approximately two weeks before the works begin.
