I've been working with Council officers on getting the footpaths/streets in and around Russell Hill cleared. There were a number of concerns that some alleyways, particularly Coldharbour Lane, Highfield Road>Russell Hill and Plough Lane>Russell Hill not being in an acceptable condition.
I'm pleased that officers have listened and have instructed Veolia to do thorough cleans in this area. Officers also undertook a follow-up inspection to assess how quickly the area may be detreating over the week taking into account the increased pedestrian footfall with the schools returning and the ongoing construction work at the lower end of Russell Hill.
There remained some isolated littering on Russell Hill which has been escalated, but otherwise no further incident.
