Collecting litter in Kenley

It was good to join several other people on a wet Sunday morning to wield our litter pickers and get clearing up Kenley! We met at the train station to be greeted by Croydon Council's Street Champions Officer, Tracey.

We divided into 2 groups; the first concentrated efforts around the station area, whilst the second headed up the hill.

We finished two hours and more than several bins bags later, satisfied in the knowledge that we all did out bit to keep Kenley looking beautiful!

If you'd like to get involved, keep an eye on the KENDRA website - https://www.kenleyra.org.uk/rubbish-litter/ or become a  Croydon Street Champion at https://www.croydon.gov.uk/environment/dont-mess-croydon/street-champio…

I have lived in Kenley for the past nine years with my teenage son, Joe. I believe that Kenley is a beautiful and special place – I know it well as I regularly walk the family dog around Kenley’s green spaces and feel proud to live here.

Gayle and Ola work hard to ensure Kenley’s green spaces and unique character is protected.

They ensure the needs of residents are taken care of and the concerns of Kenley residents are heard; such as inappropriate planning applications, road safety & parking provisions.
